It usually refers to the deeper reality underlying some well-formed whole constructed from fully functioning parts. At the same time, it may also describe a relationship to one&#8217;s literal body.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">But today we are\u00c2\u00a0joined by Wellcome Trust \/ Clore\/ Rijksakademie Fellow &amp; FRSA Poet <strong>Astrid Alben<\/strong> who will be reading from her new collection Plainspeak.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Plainspeak is based on an early memory: when aged four or five she decided she wanted to be a boy, The boy she never got to be grew up alongside her as her alter ego, \u2018Poet\u2019 in these poems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">AND: Over the course of several months, <em><strong>\u00c3\u0081ine O&#8217;Dwyer<\/strong><\/em> was given access to the pipe organ in St Mark\u2019s Church, Islington while the cleaners were at work. Primarily a harpist, this was a rare opportunity to grapple with the &#8220;king of instruments&#8221; and apply her sense of melodic, structured improvisation in a very different context.<br \/>The result being \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mie.limitedrun.com\/products\/537633-aine-odwyer-music-for-church-cleaners-vol-i-and-ii-2lp\" target=\"_blank\">\u00c3\u0081ine O&#8217;Dwyer &#8211; Music For Church Cleaners vol.
