American born, of Russian diaspora parentage Lijn, studied archaeology at the\u00c2\u00a0Sorbonne<\/a><\/i>\u00c2\u00a0and Art History at the\u00c2\u00a0Ecole du Louvre<\/a><\/i>, in Paris. At the same time Lijn began to draw and paint, (although she didn\u2019t attend art school), whilst taking part in meetings of the Surrealist group, where she met the French writer, poet and theorist\u00c2\u00a0Andr\u00c3\u00a9 Breton<\/a><\/i>.
\nThe writers and poets\u00c2\u00a0William Burroughs<\/a>,\u00c2\u00a0Gregory Corso<\/a>,\u00c2\u00a0Sinclair Beiles<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0and\u00c2\u00a0Brion Gysin<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0were in the same circle as Lijn, and their book on \u2018cut-ups\u2019 entitled\u00c2\u00a0Minutes to Go<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0had previously been launched at the\u00c2\u00a0Librairie Anglaise<\/i>\u00c2\u00a0in 1960.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

We discuss her works and life touching on projects that include Chemin De Fer (The Power Game 1970-present day<\/a>), Prisms, working with NASA scientists and much in between. this just may be part one of two…<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
